Ringbio is pleased to announce the availability of the AccuPlus MAT 5 test kit, a new milk inhibition test kit for antibiotic testing in milk.
About this MAT5 milk inhibition test
The MAT5 milk antibiotic inhibition test is a rapid test method used to detect substances that inhibit microbes in milk in a 96well plates. The principle of this test kit, which is the official method for qualitative detection of inhibitory substances in milk, is a modification of the method approved by the International Dairy Federation for the qualitative detection of penicillin in milk.
How the MAT5 milk inhibition test works
In the microtiter plate wells, culture media and specific microbes are mixed and immobilized. Once milk or other samples are added into the wells, the microbes begin to grow utilizing the nutrition provided in the culture media. If antibiotics exist in the sample, the growth of these microbes will be inhibited, vice versa. Once the microbes grow, the special colorant in the media will show purple. If not, the media will be light blue-gray. This kit is currently developed for milk testing for more than 40 kinds of antibiotic residues.
More details on the MAT5 milk inhibition test
The current kit has been validated for milk principally. More sample applications such as meat, honey, etc, will be developed. For any information, please contact [email protected]
