Florfenicol is a thiamphenicol derivative with the same mechanism of action as chloramphenicol (inhibition of protein synthesis). However, it is more active than either chloramphenicol or thiamphenicol, and may be more bactericidal than previously thought against some pathogens. Due to the potential hazard to humans, strict MRLs have been set in EU, USA and other countries. This Egg Florfenicol Rapid Test Kit is a new test tool to detect florfenicol in eggs, detection limit meets EU, China, USA and Russian MRLs.
